Former United hitman Dean Windass has finally called time on his career following his sacking as Darlington assistant manager following the 2-0 defeat in September.

Windass 40, has been in the game for 18 years playing for a string of top flight clubs which included Aberdeen, Oxford, Bradford, Middlesboro and Hull.

Windass' main focus now remains on gaining his UEFA coaching badges.
