Oxford United have signed Aldershot Town striker John Grant on loan until the end of the season.The 28-year-old scored 25 goals when he last played in the Blue Square Premier - helping the Shots to the 2008 title.
Grant, who played at Halifax under U's boss Chris Wilder, has scored three goals in his last six League Two games - after 14 blanks.
In September, he hinted that he would quit professional football this summer to do youth work in the North West.
The former Crewe, Northwich, Hereford, Telford and Shrewsbury forward could make his debut against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.
